Humberside Airport – HUY
The Humberside Airport is one of the six international airports in England. It is located in Hull, England, United Kingdom and serves the village and the nearby large settlements of Grimsby, Hull, and Scunthorpe. The Humberside Airport, whose airport code is HUY, dates back to 1941 during World War II when it was a base for the Royal Air Force. After the war, the site was abandoned and reopened in 1974 as Kirmington Airport. When Kirmington area was renamed to Humberside so was the airport. As of 2018, the airport handled 192,526 passengers and 18,579 aircraft movements.

It has two runways with asphalt surfaces.Before the Eastern Airways bought the airport, there were two options Manchester Airport Groups have planned for the airport: to dispose or to retain. In 2012 it was sold to Eastern Airways. Airports Council International said in 2010 that the airport was voted the Best European Airport serving less than two million passengers per year. As of this time, the airport continues serving the area. You can easily drive to the tourists' sites of Wheldrake, Whenby, and Whixley from the airport.
