La Mirada: One of the Gateway Cities of California
Located at the southeastern part of Los Angeles County, La Mirada is a city on the state of California.It became one of the best places to live in the year 2006 at CNN Money Magazine. La Mirada means “The Look” in Spanish, and the city name was created by Andrew McNally who was a mapmaker, and Edwin Neff, his son-in-law. McNally was the one who purchased most of the land of what we know La Mirada today.
