Lamporecchio: A Small Italian City with a Big Personality
Nestled in the heart of the northern edge of the country, Lamporecchio, Italy is a municipality under the Pistoia province in Tuscany. It sits about 19 miles from western Florence and 2.5 miles from the western portion of Vinci. The village has developed into a favorite tourist destination, mainly because of its accessibility to the numerous art cities in the region. That said, the majority of the visitors in the area choose to stay at the hotels and lodging located in the town, as they are cheaper and cozier.
Best Time to Visit
Celebrated for 150 years, the Lamporecchio’s Fair is one of the anticipated events held in the municipality. This runs for several days from the latter part of July to the first week of August. There are plenty of family-friendly events and activities held during this fair, especially in the last two days of the celebration. Thankfully, tourism is slow by this time of year, making most of Lamporecchio hotels cheap.
