Ross, Alice Spring: A Visit to the Heart of Northern Territory
Ross is an area under the town of Alice Spring, in Australia’s Northern Territory. It was named after John Ross. He is the first person who explored the area in 1870. Being under the territory of Alice Spring, it is the 3rd largest town in NT. Originally, Alice is known as Stuart but was changed in commemoration to the wife of Charles Todd – telegraph pioneer.

The best month to visit Ross is in September. Although it is the most crowded month of the place, it is the most ideal time to visit with respect for the temperature – not too cold or hot. During November and February, tourists visit less because of the raging temperature of heat. The town’s gateway is through Alice Spring Airport (ASP).
