San Lucido: A Seaside Sanctuary
Located in the province of Cosenza in the Calabria region is the town of San Lucido, Italy. The town is one of the cities that are closely situated by the sea making beaches as its main tourist attractions. However, in the 1990’s, the town suffered intense winter storms, destroying beaches and buildings by the shore. Since then, the town aimed to restore its attractions by constructing new sea defenses and building better beaches. San Lucido’s tourism rate started to increase, attracting thousands of tourists in a weekly basis.
