Found in the South Tyrol province, Senales, Italy is a municipality of only around a thousand residents. The town is referred to as Schnals, as well, and includes an extensive section of Schnalstal, a side valley in the region.
Best Time to Visit
June promises visitors with sunny skies and comfortable weather. This is also the time of year when the annual transhumance occurs. The transhumance, simply known as the migration of sheep across Val Senales, is one of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritages and is considered one of the biggest and longest-standing sheep movements in the Alpines. Most of Senales, Italy hotels are unfortunately packed by this time, though.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the most favorite attractions in Senales is the Val Senales, a valley sitting around an altitude of 4,000 to 6,000 ft. Hikers and expert skiers enjoy lurking in this area during the winter season. If you’re not one of the adventure types of travelers, you can hit the road and visit Ötzi Memorial, where the old preserved mummy of Ötzi, a man who lived around 3400 BCE, was found.
The memorial is roughly three miles away from the Blu Hotels Senales, one of the top-rated accommodations in the city. They serve guests with free breakfast and features ski-in/ski-out access.
