Salonbari Airport – TEZ
Owned by the Airports Authority of India and operated by the Indian Air Force, Tezpur Airport is a civil enclave airfield found in the city of Tezpur, India, in the Assam State. The airport is also referred to as Salonbari Airport, thanks to its proximity to the village of Salonbari. TEZ was initially built during World War II by the Royal Indian Air Force. It then became the US Army Air Forces Tenth Air Force heavy bomber base before it was transformed into an air force base back in 1959.
