Can Tho International Airport – VCA Can Tho
Can Tho International Airport is named after the city where it is located, Can Tho, which is part of the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. It used to be known as Tra Noc Airport. The United States Air Force civil engineering unit originally built the airport to serve as a military airfield during the Vietnam War. In 1975, it started to operate as a small regional airport and was later expanded to an international airport in 2008. The airport was given a budget of $150 million to build its infrastructure in a 20,750 square meters of land and finally opened in January 1, 2011.

Can Tho International Airport has undergone major upgrade to serve more passengers. The terminal is designed to serve two million passengers yearly. It has a single asphalt polymer runway measuring 3,000 meters in length. The airport is a hub for AirAsia, Bamboo Airways, Thai AirAsia, Thai Vietjet Air, VietJet Air and Vietnam Airlines serving destinations to and from Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Bangkok, Da Lat and some other places in Vietnam. The airport serves Can Tho and its nearby city, Co Do.
