Xinxiang: Where Nature and History Meets
From the Republic of China comes Xinxiang, a prefectural city located at Henan province. It is a historical place in the country as this is the city where the ancient Shang and Zhou dynasty fought, with the latter who led the victory. Xinxiang, China is currently accessible via land travel (bus/taxi/train) only from the capital city, Zhengzhou, or other nearby cities.
Best Time to Visit
Xinxiang, China has four seasons throughout the year: fall, winter, spring, and summer. It is advisable to visit during fall (from September through November) or spring (from March through May) as the temperature is relatively comfortable. Take note that May is the busiest month as they usually hold a Spring Festival and Xinxiang, CN hotels will have higher prices.
What to Do & Area Attractions
The Qinglong Lake and the Jinghua Park are just two of the places you can check out in Xinxiang where you can experience being one with nature. If you are interested with Chinese history and culture, then Mausoleum of Prince Lu, the Temple of Bi Gan, and Xinxiang People’s Park are a must-visit! These attractions, however, are located several kilometers away from the heart of the city. There are also not a lot of accommodations that can be found in the city center. The closest and best options for you to check-in are the Golden Dragon Hotel, and the 4-star New Century Grand Hotel Xinxiang, all of which are about at least 10-15 minutes car ride from the busy city.
