Sacheon Airport – HIN Airport
Sacheon Airport is a public and military airport that is located in Sacheon, South Korea. It is operated by both the Korean Airports Corporation and the Republic of Korea Airforce and serves the locals of Sacheon and Jinju.
Best Time to Visit
HIN Airport first began passenger service in the year 1977. Today, the airport contains a small terminal building and two runways. Both runways have a concrete surface with runway 06R/24L and runway 06L/24R measuring 9,000 feet long. Also based in the airport is the Korea Aeorspace Industries. Sacheon is a domestic airport only and is served by two airlines, Asiana Airlines and Korean Air. Destinations covered by the airlines include Jeju and Seoul. As of 2011, statistics from the airport shows that it was able to handle as much as 143,483 passengers. Nearby areas also benefit from the air services in HIN Airport namely Yongbong, Ungok, and Tolsan to name only a few.
