Lincoln Airport is a public and military airport, found five miles outside downtown Lincoln. It is located in Lincoln, Nebraska and serves Southern and Central Nebraska including Lincoln, Ashland, Syracuse, Papillion, La Vista, and more. Owned by the City of Lincoln, it is operated by the Lincoln Airport Authority. The airport’s primary runway was designed to serve as an emergency-landing site for the Space Shuttle, however it was never used for such purpose.
