Andravida Air Base – PYR Pyrgos
The Andravida Air Base is situated a few miles from the town of Elis in Greece. It is an airport that houses the 117th Combat Wing and the Air Tactics Center of the Air Force. The Andravida base was built in 1955 and its first detachment was established on June 1960. Later on June 1961, the detachment was converted into 117th Combat Group. The Weapons-Tactic School was also established in Andravida Air Base in 1975 that provides advanced air courses on air tactics and electronic warfare.

Andravida Air Base has only one runway with the length of 1.2 miles and is the longest one in Elis. It is providing services to passengers through only one terminal. Some of the cities near PYR Pyrgos are Marathias, Kalpaki and Argassi.
