King Abdulaziz Historical Center, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The King Abdulaziz Historical Center is a significant landmark and cultural center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The complex was originally the site of the Murabba Palace compound until 1953 when it was no longer used as the royal residence. Later, plans on transforming the compound into a cultural center were proposed giving birth to the Murabba Development Project. The construction of the King Abdulaziz Historical Center was completed in 1937. The palace compound is now a complex consisting of an even facility for cultural celebrations, a theme park and an internal garden, and an art gallery. The complex is also home to the National Museum of Saudi Arabia, which contains artifacts and remembrances relevant to the capital and Saudi Arabia’s history.
