Gwangju Art and Culture Center
Situated in the dazzling city of Gwangju is the Gwangju Art and Culture Center. It proudly presents the range of cultural pieces from ancient times to modern days. The nearly four thousand-pyeong(square meter) or thirteen thousand seven hundred square-meter center, comprised of the main stage for production, art, and an auditorium with almost two-thousand seats, over six-hundred pyeongs (square meter) / almost ten-thousand square meters of lobby area as well as ten practice rooms. Art lovers can experience and witness the different types of art performances, which the center supports, including traditional Korean opera, ballet, modern dance, theatre, and opera.
When visiting Gwangju Art and Culture Center, tourists can also visit the nearby city of Gwangju named Hagang-gol, which is famous for outdoor activities that tourists will surely love. The towns of Sutsil, and Namsan are an excellent choice for our travelers to visit too. However, if they are still around the cultural center, tourists should not miss the Jusanjeolli Cliff of Mudeongsan Mountain. The attraction is a rock statue of several hexagonal contours that look-like hand-carved. The rock art includes the Gyubong Rocks, Ipseokdae, and Seoseokdae formed about seven millennium years ago.
