The most expensive and exclusive shopping precinct in Bogota, Andino Commercial Center, lies on the grounds of the old Andino Highschool. Constructed in 1991, the shopping center is currently located right next to a newer mall, the El Retiro Mall. It houses 205 stores and services arranged on its four floors. It is known to be an exclusive and expensive shopping hub as it contains a number of stores that are nowhere else found in Colombia. Longchamp, Dolce & Gabbana, and Louis Vuitton are just some of the exclusive stores in Ardino. Aside from the 17, 316 square meter mall, Ardino Commercial Center also features a business center with a total floor area of 19,500 square meters. A parking area with 719 spaces and valet parking for 104 cars ensure convenience to shoppers with private vehicle.
The area where the Ardino Commercial Center stands was more of a residential community, but the presence of shopping centers, restaurants, and entertainment facilities transformed it into a lively neighborhood. With access to attractions in the area and nearby cities, including Guadalajara and La Vega, there are also many hotels located near the commercial center. 84DC Hotel is an example of a decent hotel with modern amenities.
