The Corferias Convention Center is a popular landmark in Bogota. It lies in between two neighborhoods, El Recuerdo and Quinta Paredes. It had its renovation and expansion twice, one in 2009 and another in 2011. In 2010, the convention center already housed 17 pavilions and 15,000 square meters of uncovered space. One of its facilities, the Gran Salon, has a 6000-seat capacity, but will soon be dethroned as the biggest on-site venue with a new 10,500-seat pavilion.
