Suwon Airport – SWU
Suwon Airport is a medium type airport in South Korea. It is a public air facility that is located in Suwon City, Gyeonggi-do, South Korea and serves the Suwon area. Its airport code, SWU, stands for Gyeonggi-do largest and capital city’s name Suwon. The airfield which the airport is located today was called Suwon Air Base where Republic of Korea Air Force was based and has operated the airport as of today. The base was established in 1950. The United States Air Force was hosted in the base. As of the present, the airport continued its operation as a state-owned public and military airport.
